Muhammad Abd al-Halim Abd Allahis a famous Egyptian novelist. He is a member of the Literature Research Department and the Novel Department of the Supreme Council for Guidance of National Literature and Arts in Egypt, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Writers' Association. In his life, he wrote ten short stories, thirteen novels, and three collections of literary criticism. Yuan Songyue was born in 1953 in Zhenhai, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from Shanghai International Studies University in 1978 and is a literary editor at Shanghai Translation Publishing House. He once worked in the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen for nearly three years and studied at the Faculty of Arts of Cairo University in Egypt.
