Mr. Pang Shiqian went to study at Al - Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt in 1938 and returned to China in 1946, spending a total of nine years there. Pang Shiqian (1902 - 1958) was a renowned Chinese Islamic scholar. In his early years, he went to Henan, Shanxi, Gansu and other places to visit teachers and study. In 1938, he led the "Farouk Chinese Student Group in Egypt" to study at Al - Azhar University in Cairo, majoring in the Faculty of Law. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he led the Chinese student pilgrimage group to Mecca for pilgrimage and vigorously publicized China's resistance against Japan. Since 1942, he served as the head of the Chinese students' department in Egypt, and was honored as an advisor on oriental affairs to King Farouk of Egypt and a lecturer of the Chinese culture lecture at Al - Azhar University. After returning to China in 1946, he was engaged in Islamic education and academic research for a long time.
